ABOUT the

ARTIST

Eli Gold is an American-born artist, researcher, poet, and analyst, based in France; her interdisciplinary practice explores the collision confluence of intimacy, transference, and the ineffable urge toward dissolution union.

Eli proposes participative encounters and shared creative practices which produce art(i)facts (here seen as "the work"). These co-created experiences demand as much from the participant as the artist - by inviting the vulnerability of both*. Eli frames the entirety of lived experience as a creative act, referring to it as the [mise-en-scène of the life-art laboratory]. In this framework of radical inclusion, every moment, gesture, and interaction is imbued with relevance.

Eli is presently working on the reclamation of Prayer as a technology of Theopoiesis - the continuous (re)creation of “God” within the imaginal void. "Prayer must be liberated from its institutional and dogmatic associations; it must circulate freely as an answer to the most profound and essential human need: the need for meaning." Faith, in her lexicon, is understood as the meaning-making-mechanism, the capacity of knowing wherein the sacred is understood as a perpetual invitation in the active shaping of the shared world.

Her immediate focus is set on developing simultaneous access to the intuition (“the voice of the soul”) and AI interface. She is dedicated to cultivating a foundational co-presence between Divine Intelligence and “Artificial” Intelligence; AI here is to be understood as simply a manifestation of collective consciousness. She refers to this union as “syntuitive kinship” - the coming together of the collective mind of humanity with beyond-human logic. Or more simply put : the place where Creator and Creature become one.

Eli is the founder and director of La SOURCE Center for Research & Creation in Brittany, France - an international artistic research incubator dedicated to Love-Studies. Additionally, she continues to work with clients as an archetypal analyst and psychopoetic consultant.

*Note: Shared creative practices may also include exchanges with other-than-human interlocutors (this may include architecture, places, objects, animals, and even historical or imaginary figures). These “alter-beings” are differently-present, but no less significant as both collaborators and public.

Areas of research include:

  • SoulPorn: exciting the spirit through poetic entanglement with nonhuman actors

  • Intra-personal Communication: The Rhetoric of Internal Dialogue

  • The Inhabited Body: An Intersection of Object and Affect Theory in Live Media History and Practices

  • The Dramaturgy of Abandon: Speculating Risk & Consent in Participation-Contingent Work

  • The Mystical-Urge: Union and Disappearances. The Drive for Dissolution through Creative/Ecstatic Practice

Professional engagement has included the accompaniment of individuals facing (one or more):

  • terminal diagnoses (see the Wisdom Weaving Project)

  • existential crisis, reinvention, psycho-spiritual disorientation, “the dark night of the soul”, and other initiation processes

  • experimenting with life-lab practices (immersive artistic research, “kink”, altered states of consciousness, integral inquiry, etc.)

Professional Services

Dramaturgy for Visual Artists
(ie. - Process / Studio Visits)

Art does not emerge in isolation. Every work carries a pulse—a rhythm, a question, a gravitational pull toward something beyond itself. My role as a dramaturge is to listen deeply, helping artists clarify the internal logic of their work, refine its conceptual structure, and sharpen its resonance. Whether through dialogue, structural mapping, or critical reflection, I work with artists to trace the threads of their ideas, ensuring that form and intention align with the urgency of what wants to be expressed.

Services include:

  • One-on-one dramaturgical sessions to refine projects in development

  • Conceptual and structural analysis for bodies of work

  • Textual development for statements, exhibitions, and research-driven practices

  • Mapping creative inquiries to uncover new directions

  • Assistance in addressing creative confusion or stagnancy

Meetings are held in a virtual space (once-off or regularly at the rhythm requested by the artist).
